A Record

Well, first cut is done and with no labor intensive work. I think this was a record- hay cut on Sunday afternoon and baled Tuesday afternoon. We just got lucky with the weather; it was hot, but not humid, and windy so the hay dried quickly. I was glad it was baled last night, especially when I woke up this morning to a thunderstorm.

We round baled the hay because it was so thick we weren't sure how long it would take to dry and we are leaving for Canada soon and didn't have a lot of time. We'll sell the bales in the fall (or before if people are interested) when the price goes up. That's Art's idea- he's always looking to make a deal and he usually does!
