Today I made pumpkin butter. It didn't take me all day like it did last year during Pumpkin Madness, as I had two bags of pumpkin puree in the freezer. All I had to do was warm it up, mix in some spices and throw in a jar!
The house smells wonderfully of fall and now that I have accepted that summer is certainly over, I have embraced all things autumn- pumpkins, Halloween, crisp mornings and heavy sweaters. I do wish our trees were more colorful and I'm hoping with last nights rain that they will turn gorgeous gold and red, instead of just the wilty brown.
