These are the watermelons I harvested! They look good for not having been weeded in about six weeks. There are only one or two left to ripen, but I was a still overwhelmed by watermelons. My original plan was to make "Zesty Watermelon Jelly" but the recipe called for lemongrass and I couldn't find it anywhere! Not even the New Pioneer Co-op had it, and I figure if they don't have it, no one in Iowa City will have it. Instead I found a recipe for regular watermelon jelly that I will (hopefully) try this weekend. I don't know how good it will be, but I'll let you know!
