This past Saturday was a beautiful January day- not 70 degrees, but a nice 45 degrees. Knowing this would be the warmest day for quite some time I decided to spend the afternoon out doors. But there isn't much to do outside in January, no lawn mowing, no gardening. So I decided to pick up all the sticks that have dropped over the winter to use for kindling in our stove. I didn't anticipate how much was out there and filled the wheelbarrow- and that was only half the yard! There were some large branches that I just couldn't break and Art will have to cut those down.
Half the yard is cleaned up- it sure beats mowing over them in the spring!
