It never fails that we end up baling hay on the hottest day of the year.  Art cut hay this past Monday and it was ready today- with a temperature of 100 degrees in the shade.

It was fairly light (only two loads instead of three or four) since we have had so little rain, but we still took a lot of breaks. Well, I made Art take a lot of breaks as it's not exactly taxing for me to sit on a tractor. Sure, I get hot and sweaty and generally gross, but Art is doing all the work.  In jeans, no less, to protect his slight legs from being stabbed by the hay.
