"I Can't Put My Arms Down!"

Although it's beginning to warm up (high twenties by the end of the week!), it was a rather chilly weekend. We were out of wood and I had to go gather more, but to do that I had to go outside. In the cold. I read once that it's the quantity of clothes and the number of layers you have that keep you the warmest, so I suited up in long underwear, fleece-lined pants, turtleneck, sweatshirt, insulated over-alls, a winter coat and my fleece-lined wool sweater coat. Along with scarf, hat, and gloves, I stayed quite warm.

I begged Art to take me away to some place hot and sunny with blue skies, bluer water and sandy beaches, but he said no. Something about spending a bundle on his shop and building our savings back up. Whatever. Sounds like bullsh*t to me. I told him that I could go alone, therefore spending only half as much as if two of us went but he, again, said no. Something about loving me or being lonely without me or something else dumb.

Did you know that 6 out of 10 divorces are filed in the month of January? I told that to Art. Just as a little food for thought.
