If you've been to Florida you probably noticed that Hibiscus grows everywhere. I love Hibiscus because it's so cheery and it automatically makes me feel like I'm in some sort of tropical vacation destination. The garden centers have been selling Hibiscus the last few years, but I could never justify paying twenty-five dollars on a plant that won't survive the winter- even if I kept it inside. Our 6 foot tall cactus finally decided to give it up this past winter and it was next to the woodstove.
I found these a couple of weeks ago (on clearance!) at Lowes and they can withstand -20 to -30 temperatures. I was so excited; now I have a little piece of Florida!
