Frogs in the Attic

I have been very concerned about Art finding a frog in the attic, not because it grosses me out (which it does) but because the attic is the last place I would expect to find a dead frog. One would think that I would find frogs in my basement which is cool, damp and easily accessible through the dog door. But no, instead we find them in our very, very hot and brightly lit attic. But the real question is, how do they get up there? It's like the eighth wonder of the world!

Last night, as I was replacing our broken window fan for another, I almost peed myself. As I moved the fan away from the screen, there on the other side, was a frog. Yes, it was outside and not inside and I shouldn't be such a girl, but it's not something you would expect as our bedroom is on the second floor and our house is really tall. What these clever little amphibians are doing is climbing up the house, squeezing themselves through the crevices and holes in my attic (kind of like mice- able to squish and contort themselves any which way from Sunday) and then dying a miserable, dry death in my attic only to then be thrown into the upstairs toilet and terrifying me rather than being disposed of properly, like the outdoors. Preferably several feet from the house. Unlike like the mice that Art kills and just throws them two feet from the back door because he doesn't feel like walking "all the way to the barn" which is about fifty feet.

But I digress.

I have solved the mystery of the frog in the attic. I'm not really concerned with the aspect of preventing frogs in the attic, I was more interested in the mystery aspect.
