Seeing as the weather gods are forecasting five days of sun and no rain, Art cut the big field of hay today. We're not doing the smaller waterways up the road this year because, technically, we aren't supposed to cut them. They're basically buffers for the stupidcides sprayed on the beans and corn but they are going to be inspected this year to make sure they aren't being used as anything else. That's just fine with me because it's less I have to worry about. Hopefully the rain will hold off and we'll be baling it Saturday. I tried to talk Art into round baling it again, but he said that is only used in an emergency; if it's been rained on already or it's about to be rained on or if it's infested with mustard. Apparently none of those apply to this cut.
Oh well, I can just as easily work on my tan driving a tractor as I can laying on a chaise lounge. And this way I don't feel guilty for just laying around; I'm being productive.
