Expecting

No, no, it's not me. Go back to breathing normally, please.

Our barn cat, Kittylicious, has gotten awfully fat in the last couple of weeks. She's still begging for food (she doesn't like cat food, only scraps or dog food will do) so I know she's not filling up on small creatures. It appears she is eating for a litter. I have been dreading this day ever since she showed up. The tomcats come around and have their fun with her, but I had assumed, gratefully, that she was steril. I'm pretty sure she's preggers and I'm not happy about it. What am I supposed to do with a litter of kittens? Lord knows she's not responsible enough to care for them, seeing as she waves her tail to any tomcat that comes around. I'll end up raising these kittens while she is off doing whatever she feels like with nary a thank you.

If I can convince my husband that a cat would be awesome and convince my dogs not to eat it, then we're game for one :)
