Helen, having come into adulthood and feminine maturity, is in heat. My little heifer is all grown up! Art borrowed a bull, whom we'll call 'john', because that's what he is- a 'john'. See, Art wants to breed Helen in order to make his dream of having his own little cattle herd come true. While he calls it 'breeding', I call it 'pimping'. But don't think Helen is at all innocent in this situation. As Art drove the trailer with the john into the pasture, Helen could smell him and started skipping around and prancing, like some oversexed minx. When we let the bull out it was all Helen could do to contain herself, she was that excited. But of course you can't just give it away, right? You have to make them work for it. So she wrestled with him for a bit, then she would wag her backside in his face but immediately run away when he tried to take advantage of her. So not only is she a common strumpet, she's a tease!
But poor Keller. For the last year and a half he and Helen have been inseparable but now Helen has turned her attentions to the john, leaving Keller feeling abandoned. He tries so hard to be a part of the group, even trying to 'get on it'; it's sad because 1) he doesn't have the necessary parts and 2) he keeps messing up the john's game. It's embarrassing to watch Keller try so hard.
And Peggy; the poor thing is still gated in the barn (her leg is healing nicely, though) and while the other three are out gallivanting, she is stuck in the barn mooing pitifully at being left alone and left out.
The john should be here for about a week; hopefully he will get the job done and in nine months time, another little Helen or Keller will join the menagerie!
