I promise this is not a shameless product placement in the hopes that I will get free stuff, but I just want to give a shout out to Dockers for making curvy fit pants. All my life I have dreaded shopping for pants; I will wear a pair of pants until they are faded, pilly and coming apart at the seams. I try to tell myself that I'm just frugal, but in actuality, I just hate shopping for pants. The reason for this is because I have what some like to call "junk in the trunk". I do not have a large backside, but I have some curves and, coupled with a small waist and short legs, makes finding a pair of pants that fit well a nightmare. Apparently the larger the pant size, the taller the person must be. Petites don't work because while the fit and length are ok, the waist is several inches too broad and I'm forced to wear a belt, which creates a lovely ripple effect that everyone can see that I'm not wearing appropriately sized pants.
I found Dockers curvy fit pants at Kohls- not only do they accommodate my 'junk in the trunk', they come in short! They come in a variety of styles (capris, slacks, jeans) and a variety of colors (khaki, solid colors, pinstripe). This makes me so very happy.
It's about damn time someone realized that we're not all 5'10 and a size 2. Thanks, Dockers! (and if you read this, feel free to send me pants in all colors, size 10 short)
