I'm a Little Behind...

We had another busy weekend (and, considering the lateness of this post, a busy week). We finished cutting down the rest of the cotton wood tree and I (being awesome) brought it to the brush pile. Then we continued our fence building. Building fences is hard and tiring and I'm kinda over the whole thing. At least we don't have to dig the holes by hand, I guess.

Can we talk about how it snowed while I was clearing away the tree?!? We fired up the wood stove and I finally brought my plants inside for the winter. I'm not ready!!

I also made applesauce this weekend. It was a bad year for apples (for me, at least). Maybe because of all the rain or the cool weather, but I didn't get many apples and the ones I did get were small and misshapen. We don't usually have bug problems but many of the apples were buggy or wormy- we don't spray our trees, the whole 'I don't care about spots on my apples, just give me the birds and the bees' idea. I'm glad I didn't have many apples this year because I still have applesauce, apple butter and apple pie filling from last year in the basement (I'm also out of shelf space).

Art's parents are coming this weekend for a visit so I just may get a break from fence building!
