For the last few years Art and I have talked about having a deck built on the back side of our house. We received an estimate that was waaaaaay out of our price range so Art said "Well, we could build it for less than that." So we finally did. We started Memorial Day weekend and I naively thought we would have it done. Four weeks later it's finally finished!
Art and I are pretty impressed with ourselves- but I won't lie and say there weren't moments where I hoped and prayed that it wouldn't look like garbage. It's not quite finished, we have chairs on order as well as lattice that will close up the bottom, but it's lovely anyway!
