Last week Art and I went to the brand new Costco. It was amazing. I love everything about Costco because I can buy everything from a coffin to a five-day vacation package. As we meandered around the store, Art discovered the aisle of office chairs. The thing you have to understand about Art is that he is obsessed with comfortable seating and he is always looking for the most comfortable chair. When we got our dining room set he said the chair was uncomfortable, so he brought down one of the office chairs to sit in instead. It was a fairly nice oak chair, so I didn't argue.
Then he found this chair at Costco:
He begged, pleaded, and then demanded that he have this chair for his at the dining room table. He said it was the most comfortable chair, more so than the chair he already uses, and he needs a comfortable chair because he does his billing, book-work, reading, and eating at that table. When I finally relented he said that we should really buy five of them to put around the dining room table. Wouldn't I love to sit in this? Wouldn't our friends and family love to sit in these comfortable chairs? I gave him a resounding Hell No, and we left with just the one.
He loves his chair and is so happy. How could I deny him that happiness? Even if it does look out of place and stupid.
