Crafty Hour

The temperatures have dropped and so I no longer feel the need to be outside. I usually spend my winters curled on the couch catching up on TV (love you, Netflix!) or reading in front of the woodstove. As it's not below freezing, nor can it be considered 'winter', I felt I should do something productive this past weekend. A few months ago I found directions on how to make decoupage candle holders in a magazine that I get but never read (it was a long trip to Canada, I needed something to do). The directions sounded easy enough and I had a box full of jars my aunt Becky had given me for canning but couldn't use them because the openings were too small for my lids. So this weekend I held Crafty Hour, and although I was the only one attending, I had a great time!

What I love about decoupage is that no matter what you do, it's going to look homemade. If they looked like a three-year-old made them, it's ok, because that's how they are supposed to look!
I hope you like them because you will probably be getting one for Christmas along with some canned goods!
