They have most of the roof on the shop! I know, it's hard to tell, but once it's completed I'll drive up the road and try to get a better picture. If there weren't so much corn it would be better. We are well on our way to having a shop!
Tonight a friend gave me some iris and I was busy transplanting them around to various spots. I don't do well with flower gardens; I never weed them unless people are coming over and I have no eye for proper placement or landscape design. I usually end up moving plants at least three to four times (sometimes within the same year) before I find good spots for them. This is why I only have iris and hostas. It's widely known that the only way to kill iris is with an atomic bomb dropped directly onto an iris cluster. A few years ago I took several iris from my mom's house, both yellow and purple, and somehow I unintentionally segregated them by planting yellow on one side of the house, purple on the other. I desegregated those tonight and also planted some by the birdbath along with some sort of wild flower that grows in my "garden". It's so cheery that I never pick it and it, just like the iris, just keeps coming back. I told Art that I planted them by the birdbath so it will attract more birds, but really it was just to camouflauge the septic tank cover (I have also been known to get a little too close to its cement cover with the lawnmower...).
This is Art's newest acquisition. Yeah, I didn't know what the hell it was either when he pulled in the driveway. It's an industrial strength leaf sucker and blower apparently used by cities to clean their streets. Art told me that now we can drive it around the yard in the fall and pick up leaves. I was about to ask him if he'd ever heard of a 'rake' when he told me he really only bought it for the diesel engine that he'll use in an upcoming job he has lined up.

I can't believe I made your blog! I feel so much more valued in life now that I have been made immortal in the blog of one Lindsay Wagner. Even though my name is never mentioned, I think everyone knows who you were talking about.
