Well, here are the onions I picked tonight. There are still a few in the garden that aren't ready to be picked. They're all fairly small and I just don't know why.
The green peppers still look terrible; someone told me today that their green peppers looked terrible, too, because of all the rain. Yes, we'll just say that's my excuse too.
My pumpkins aren't doing anything, but I still have possible compost pumpkins!
I have four, count 'em four, watermelons! I have planted watermelon for five years and for the first time, I might actually enjoy the fruits of my labor (pun intended).
The tomatoes are still out of control; there is a bit of blight on one plant, but what's one plant out of sixteen?
I have completely forgotten about the black beans and it's entirely possible that it will stay that way. I'm supposed to let the pods dry on the plant and then de-bean them, allow them to dry another couple of days and then store in cool, dry place. But my problem is that when I want to use them, I don't want to boil them for 1 1/2 hours; I don't have that kind of time. Sure, I could plan my meals ahead of time, but that's not how I roll. Sometimes I don't decide what's for dinner until I get home at night. I have scoured the Internet for canning recipes, but they don't seem to exist.
Emily and Joey's green beans aren't producing much, but I think they're ok with that since it's just the two of them and neither one of them are like Art, who eats enough for three people. At one sitting.
That's about it for the garden. I don't know how much harvest I will have, but that's ok. I'm seriously considering no garden next year. Or at least a very, very small one. I think I say that every summer but by the time spring rolls around and the seed companies start sending me catalogues upon catalogues of beautifully displayed fruits and vegetables, I have forgotten all about my burn-out of the previous year.

I would have to agree with everyone. We have had to much rain. The plants have had way too much water this year.
