Jam



This is the first batch of strawberry jam. I used "Grandma's Recipe" which is just strawberries and jam, no pectin. The idea is to combine ripe berries with slightly under-ripe berries, as the extra pectin in the under-ripe strawberries will thicken it....yeah, not so much. I put a jar in the fridge this morning to see if it will thicken up when it's chilled, but it may turn out to be strawberry sauce. I have a gazillion more strawberries so I may just use some pectin in the next batch. But whether it turns out to be jam or sauce, it's pretty damn tasty!
