Let There Be Light

A couple of years ago we had the power company take out the security light because a) we had to pay rent for it every month and we're cheap, and b) the light would shine directly into our bedroom window. We didn't miss it at all but found it to be a dark and dangerous trek to the house, especially in the winter with the snow drifts and ice that tends to accumulate. This weekend Art, in -15 degrees and biting wind, installed the new outdoor light I had bought a few months ago (yes, months). Don't go feeling bad for him, working in such inclimate weather, I didn't ask him to do it (really! I didn't even nag!) he took that upon himself. It's a lovely beacon of light!!
