I stayed at my mom's house last night because I didn't want to skid all the way home on the ice. It was really nice because they were out of town so I had the house to myself. Some might wonder what on earth I could possibly do all night in a house by myself. Those of you who know me will know exactly what I did. I turned on cable TV and watched it from 4:30-10:00, flipping between Bravo's Millionaire Matchmaker, E!, and MTV's Teen Mom. Seriously, those are the only channels I watched. For five and a half hours.
I also watched a mouse run from one corner of the room to the other. I kept my feet off the ground (which wasn't even necessary because I was ten feet away from it) and focused on the trash on TV. Once the mouse started running along the other side of the room and hiding behind the couch, I called it a night.
Now, I have mice in my house. They aren't as blatant and respect my wishes to stay unseen in my walls (except the time one decided to die in the middle of my kitchen. Oh, and the one that was running around in the bathroom). But I live in the country, it's unavoidable! My parents live in the middle of town! That is unacceptable to me and I would be either, a) cleaning out my house so they didn't have as many places to live or b) calling some agency to deal with the issue (in this situation, option A is what really, really needs to be done)
